Lionel Post-War Set (1959-61):    This is a Lionel Freight Set from the postwar.    The set includes a locomotive and tender, a gondola, hopper and caboose.    No track or transformer is included.    This was an inexpensive set in the late 1950s, early 1960s and would be an excellent starter set for a collector today.    The locomotive is a 246 with a 1130T non-whistling tender.    The 246 is plastic and would be in excellent condition but is missing the cow-catcher on the front.    The tender is also plastic, in excellent condition with no broken steps.    The freight cars show some wear with minor scratches but no broken parts.    I would grade them as very good.    See the pics.    Price is $75 plus shipping.

1986-90 Lionel #8625, 6921 Loco & Caboose:    This is a Lionel Pennsylvania locomotive (DC current), tender and caboose, #8625 and #6921, made from 1986-90.   This engine/tender and caboose came from various inexpensive sets made in the 1980s.    The engine is plastic and is DC only, it cannot be used with the standard Lionel AC transformers.   The tender has the mechanical chugging sound.    All three pieces are in excellent condition as can be seen from the pics.    No individual boxes came with these cars, since they were in a set box.    They are fully operational and ready to run.   Price is $45 plus shipping.
